Top 5 phone apps to help run your business

We round up some of the apps and online services that we use, or think are useful additions to your phone app list.

HMRC

Released a couple of years ago and recently undergoing a number of improvements, the HMRC app will allow you to view your personal tax account and upcoming liabilities together with other notices. It doesn’t currently support a company tax status though we anticipate this will be added in a future update.

Companies House 

The Companies House app will track company details and recent filings. Furthermore, any documents or changes submitted to Companies House will show in the application immediately. It will also let you save and monitor companies of interest, such as clients, suppliers, competitors and partners.

Previously a source of distraction in the workplace! Social media platforms have become a necessity for small business owners and contractors alike. Cloud storage services

Lost and damaged receipts have caused sleepless nights and worry for business owners over the years. With the ever increasing move to cloud storage, there are a wide range of services out there to keep your receipts and paperwork secure. The market leaders Google Drive, Dropbox and Microsoft OneDrive all allow you to upload and easily share copies of documents as required.

Docusign

The Docusign app will allow you to send, sign and store documents electronically and is widely accepted and used by agencies, some tax authorities and clients. Safe, secure and legally binding, DocuSign’s empowers you to sign documents and get signatures from anyone, anywhere, whether they happen to be standing right next to you or are halfway around the globe.
